On a clifftop in the quaint Khasi village of Nohsithiang, Polo Resort Cherrapunji stands watch over one of the world's most spectacular landscapes. Locally called Sohra, Cherrapunji is among the wettest places on Earth — and our resort makes its moody, magical skies the very soul of every experience.

Part of Hotel Polo Towers Group — the largest hotel chain in Northeast India, established in 1991 — the resort seamlessly blends contemporary luxury with the unmistakable Sohra spirit. In November 2024, we proudly unveiled 33 new luxury rooms and the Mawsmai Ballroom, Cherrapunji's first-ever banquet hall, inaugurated by Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma himself.
